We'll end the week with a smile for Eve's imagery and satisfaction that Roarke admits he was wrong. -Laura

Text in a red box above a silver platter reads:
“And if anyone had pulled that on you, you’d have had their head on a fucking platter and their blood for sauce.”
He started to speak, then took a good swallow of his own pride. “That’s very annoying.”
“Annoying? You call it—”
“It’s annoying,” he interrupted, “when you’re right.”

LOL That scene made me laugh, but he had to concede the point. She was absolutely correct!
Nice that Roarke admitted he was wrong. He totally was!
They know each other to the point it's almost annoying. But then they are opening themselves up to each other every day. Love without secrets.
Not a bad idea 😼 Don't miss Stolen in Death, on sale next week! ~Team JD

Just waiting for B&N to deliver... 😁
Laughing just for the idea of Galahad inheriting everything.
Roarke warns Peabody to stay out of the line of Eve's fire since she's had a good day so far (closing the cold case). I think Peabody made her day even better by standing up for her lieutenant. -Laura

Text reads:
“From where I’m standing you deserve a blast. Don’t you think she took enough of a pounding yesterday?”
To Roarke’s considerable surprise, Peabody turned on her heel and marched in the opposite direction.

Moments like this are why Peabody is my favorite.
Thanks for including her shot at Roarke. Yesterday's quote with Eve was huge, but to me, this was just as important. It shows Peabodys friendship to Eve, not just supporting her superior. Also, can we say women power is important here? I mean, Roarke and the Commander are oblivious until Eve sets them straight. Feeney probably was as well, but hard to tell with limited interaction. Go Eve and Peabody. 💚
I love Peabody.
